The tea house treks or lodge trek is
the most popular way to trek for both
Nepalese and trekkers to travel from
lodge to lodge and carrying minimal
luggage. Hotel accommodation is most
readily available in the Everest region,
the Langtang region and the entire Annapurna
region. In the three main trekking areas
these lodges have evolved into sophisticated
trekkers' lodges which today offer private
rooms, sun-terraces, hot showers, fresh
food is widely available throughout
the trekking routes - nutritious, delicious
and digestible.
During the busy trekking seasons in
Nepal October to November and March
to May, it may be difficult to find
room on the Annapurna, the Langtang
and the Everest trekking areas, we recommend
you to carry your own sleeping bag.
Although many teahouses or lodges in
the popular trekking routes are reasonably
comfortable but the accommodation in
high altitudes are basic but clean.
You can walk faster or slower than others
and make side trips which are much worthy
to visit and know the area very well
and not possible with a large group
of trekkers. But it's one helluva lot
of fun and a great experience, actually
living with the local folk.
